**AS OF 7-9-06, THERE ARE ANTS SURROUNDING THIS BOX...FEEL FREE TO GO FOR IT, BUT YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!***

This is a drive by box, but worth it, especially if the weather is good!
Drive on Highway 58 from Oakridge until you reach mile marker 65.
Before you get to mile marker 66, there will be a view point for Odell Lake and Diamond Peak on your right.
You will see a "View Point 1/4 mile" sign...this is a good point to start slowing down and put on your turn signal or flashers. This highway is a throughfare for truckers and RV'rs, and they make pretty good time. Give lots of space to the cars behind you and if need be, go down to Sunset Cove campground and turn around if that is safer!
Park well off of the road at the viewpoint.
At the WEST END of the veiwpoint there is an access to the lakeshore.
Take the stairs with the railing on the left.
At the bottom there will be 2 picnic benches.
Stand between the picnic benches and enjoy the view of Diamond Peak and one of the best fishing lakes on God's Creation!
As you are viewing the lake, over your right shoulder, you will notice another stairway up. Go see where it goes!
About half way up you will notice an overgrown resting area for very short people!
Look under the right front support on the very end for the letter box.
Please replace carefully, and use the rocks to disguise!
happy hunting!
