This is an easy 3/4 mile round trip but be careful of roots and small tree stumps in the path.

From College Station, take Hwy 6, South to the Greens Prairie Exit. (or North from Navasota about 17 miles). From McDonalds go East on Greens Prairie Road 1.7 miles and turn right onto Rock Prairie Road.Go 1.8 miles to Lick Creek Park entrance. (You will pass the equestrian entrance).
Park at the small parking area on your left. You will see a small blue sign in the clearing on your left for the Yaupon Loop. Enter the trail here.

Follow the grassy trail 1/10th mile to the second blue trail marker. Follow the winding trail through the Yaupon. You will come to a dead tree across the path over head. Continue another 1/10th mile to a small bent tree almost in the middle of the path. Just past this tree is a large tree on your right. From here count 50 paces to a small clearing on the left and a small cedar tree. If you miss it continue on the trail a few steps to the 3rd trail marker. It is on the left but it’s back is to you. Turn around and go back 10 paces. The Cedar is straight ahead of you in the clearing.

The box is behind the tree covered with sticks and leaves. Please make sure to cover it well when you are done.

If you continue on the loop you will come Iron Bridge Trail where you can follow directions to the Lick Creek box nearby.
