Difficulty - 95% Easy
Terrain - Dirt Path
Round Trip - approx. one hour
Planted By - River D, P. and J.

BRING BUG SPRAY! Lots of blood-thirsty mosquitoes.

Directions:

From Worcester, MA
Rte 290 to Brosnihan Sq. / Rte 146 Exit
Follow signs to Rte 146
Pass Mobil on left
Take next right onto Millbury St.
Cross RR tracks
Pass brick Quinsigamond Elementary School on right.
4th Street from RR tracks is Whipple St.
Take a right onto Whipple St.
Follow it until it dead ends. Park.
Trail starts next to the fence of the last house.

Follow main path through oak trees.
T- Intersection - take left.
Path curves left, up slope.
T- Intersection - take right.
Immediately, there's another path divergence.
Take right path downhill.
This is the NOT-EASY part.
Path becomes water run-off when it rains, very rocky and STEEP ! Please be careful. It's worse climbing it when you return home.
At the bottom of the hill there is a fork. Bear left.
Take First path on your right - moss covered. ( Opposite the entrance on your left are two kiddie wading pools dumped into the woods.)
Cross rock bridge over stream.
T-Intersection - take right. ( Small evergreen sapling with orange plastic on ground marks this entrance. There was a red bandanna tied to branch to mark it as well).
Follow main path - stay right. ( You will see a parallel path on your left several times through the trees.)
Path climbs hill.
Triangle intersection - bear left.
4 Path Intersection - bear left.
Pass big log on left.
Intersection - go straight through.
As the Main path curves sharp left, you take the right path.
Cross over the BIG dead tree lying on its side.
Fork - bear right, go up incline.
Triangle intersection - bear left.
See rock wall covered in poison ivy. Beyond it is the secret meadow, a beautiful surprise within the woods.
As you stand in the break of the rock wall, about-face.
There is a rock pile next to dead branches. Letterbox is underneath it.

Listen and look for " Keee- haaar", the local red-tailed hawk who loves to circle the skies above this clearing.

What's else can you find on this nature trail?
