This letterbox is hidden at the Devil's Backbone County Park on Route 68 between Boonsboro and Williamsport.

There is no charge to visit the park.

After parking your car in the lot, proceed down the small blacktop sidewalk towards the pedestrian bridge. Cross over the creek on the bridge and turn left: head upstream towards the dam/waterfall on the wide trail.

Once the dam/waterfall is directly at your left, take the stone steps leading up the hill into the woods on your right. Hike uphill for a short while until you spot an unusual tree that looks as if a large triangular shaped chunk has rotted out of the bottom of it. This tree will be on your right, very close to the trail. Directly behind this tree is tree #2. At the base of tree #2 you will notice a fist-sized flat rock wedged into a small knot hole. Carefully remove the rock to reveal what you seek hidden behind it.

Please treat this letterbox in a gentle, clean, and kindly fashion. Watch out for bees!
