UPDATE: No one has been able to find this lately and I haven't been able to return to the area to check it out.

Wichita Falls is named after the Native American Wichita tribe and the waterfalls on the Wichita River. The original falls washed away in a flood more than 100 years ago, and were rebuilt in 1986. The falls have a path connecting them to Lucy Park which has hiking trails, a duck pond, and picnic areas. FallsFest is a 3 day celebration held every September in Lucy Park. The festival will be Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 in 2005. You can see more information on FallsFest at http://www.fallsfest.org/

As you enter Wichita Falls on North Hwy287, you will take the Broad Street Business exit. Stay in the right lane as you go through all the stoplights. Stay right as the highway splits. Go down the hill, crossing 6th St. and 5th St. After you cross 5th, veer left, but don't get back up on the highway. Go on down and under the highway, coming back up the other side. Go up the hill and pull over to the right and park. Walk northwest back down the sidewalk towards the river. Turn left and uphill at the brick path. From the "Riding Bicycles" sign, go 7 paces up. Look down. You should be at the "Joe B. and Inez Woolsey" brick. Go over the boulders to your right and stand just at the bottom of them. Look towards the path. There are 2 boulders in front of you and then 1 that has 3 others on top of it. The box is way underneath this one with the 3 on top and hidden by some leaf debris and a stick. You'll need a stick to pull it out.
