It was Utah's vote that ended prohibiton on December 5th, 1933. We decided to have a little party, complete with champagne toast, to honor that moment in time.
To get to Neff's Canyon; From Wasatch Blvd turn east at Oakview (churchill jr high)
Left on Zarahemla
Right at Parkview Terr
Right on White way
From the parking lot, go to the main trailhead.
After walking for a very short while, you'll climb 4 steps then walk right.
Watchout for the concrete planter box on the left. 26 steps from there on the same side is a deer trail turning very sharply.
Follow this small trail back in the direction that you came from. You'll see a couple of concrete bathtub "stills". Just before the second one there are two pipes that end face to face - this is the entrance to the party, so go on in and face right. The celebration is between two small boulders just 10 steps ahead.
