Find the man-made island designed to help protect the yacht harbor in Escanaba's Ludington Park. Take a left at the community swim house and park in the very last parking lot. From here, follow the path east towards the point. If you are lucky, you may be able to catch an ore boat as it comes into Little Bay De Noc! Those large boats are the inspiration for this letterbox.
Once you arrive at the point, sit and enjoy the view for a bit. Head back towards the parking lot, in the same direction you came. You'll see a large stone bench off to your left -- I wanted to chisle out one of the stones, to hide my letterbox inside the bench, but I figured that the letterboxing culture would not support vandalism. :)
In the general area of this bench, you'll note a sign advertising a type of tree...the "fabric of our lives". Your treasure lies among these trees.
