This is a seasonal letterbox. You can only partake in this particular 'quest' in the summer (June-August). You cannot and SHOULD NOT try to reach this letterbox on the weekends. This will be the only one like this I do on Nantucket. I won't do anything with this many rules again *sigh*.

Once again, a story-like clue. Thank you for your patience.

Re-enact Zach and Kelly's visit to the highest peak in Nantucket.

Zach Taylor pedaled hard to make it up the hill, but gravity it seems wasn't his friend today. He hopped off his bike and walked the remainder of the hill, casually taking note of the inn to his right. It was quite beautiful with its three white verandas and looked like a nice place to stay. 'Even though it is up a hill' Zach thought. He had heard a rumor that it was up for sale and wondered whether it would stay an inn when it was sold.

When Zach finally reach the top of the hill, he crossed the street to his destination. Zach carefully secured his bike to the rod iron fence and walked under a decorative arch, complete with a black lantern in the center. Zach trotted up the stone steeps with his pack still strapped to his back and looked around for his friend Kelly. He checked his watch. She was supposed to meet him here at two o'clock sharp, so where was she? Here he was sitting alone, probably being secretly spied on by the people who were undoubtedly nearby....some where. This place was a very popular meeting area and a nice peaceful place to hang out at night, but in broad daylight, with no friend in sight, it was a little awkward.

"I found you Zachary!" Zach turned around to see his slightly out of breath strawberry blond friend, Kelly. She was dressed for the occasion with her new jeans jacket and a pair of silver earrings that somehow helped frame her face.
"About time. I thought you weren't going to make it." Zach said tartly.
"Yeah right." Kelly teased. "And miss a chance to see you quiver in fear."
"For the last time, I am NOT afraid of heights!" Zach stood up and brushed some non-existent dust off his pants.
"I guess you feel pretty safe on an island with no mountains, but I'll have you looking down on the island in no time."
When pigs fly." Zach said with a smile.
"Well, whatever." Kelly smiled and faked a dismissive gesture. "I promised you the greatest view of Nantucket and that's just what your going to get. Come on!" Kelly tugged Zach in the direction of a massive white building.
"Whoa, wait. We can't go in there!" Zach cried in protest, but Kelly only rolled her eyes.
"Of course we can. Today it's open to the public. Did you bring any moeny?"
"Ahhhmmmm...... you see.."
"That's okay, today's on me." Kelly interrupted. "But you owe me a a double cone at Juice Guys later."
"Fair enough." Zach said with a shrug. The pair walked through the painted doors and approached a friendly looking woman sitting at a make shift desk in the entrance hall.
"Hello. Two for the tour?" She asked.
"Yes please." Said Kelly politely as she fished a few dollars out of her pocket. The woman took the money and directed them to a staircase that lead up into the structure. Zach hesitated, but there was no backing down now. At first it was easy as they scaled a grey staircase, but even more stairs presented themselves and Kelly seemed to have no problem climbing higher and higher.

Kelly led Zach through an open sitting area full of history and facts and dragged him up another set of stairs of new brown wood and white painted spokes. When they reached the end of those stairs Zach felt his stomach turn when he noticed there was more to come. Kelly stopped here for a moment and looked around.
"Hey Zach, look over here." she said and she ducked down to look out a low window a little ways from the staircase. "You get a great view of the church court yard."
"Kelly, get away from there." Zach scolded. "It doesn't look safe, and nor do these stairs for that matter..." Still, she look for awhile longer before they continued their assent. These stairs weren't at all like the other ones. These actually looked old and dangerous.
"Kelly," Zach felt himself grow more nervous with each creak of the staircase. "Are you sure we're allowed up here?"
"Yes."
"How high are we going?" He asked glancing at a brass bell to their left.
"High enough." Kelly said simply.
"And how high is-" Zach was about to inquire, when their journey had come to an end. Zach let out a gasp. From every direction Nantucket stretched out before them. Kelly seemed positively thrilled and rushed to the north window.
"Zach, come here." Coxed Kelly. "You can see Main Street."
"When pigs fly.." Zach muttered.
"I heard that." Kelly said hotly. "And you know what? You said that about that balloon ride in Denver, and the mountain hiking in New Hampshire, and every other height related activity."
"So?"
"So, I've gotten you to at least try every one of them. Now come on and at least try looking around." Zach felt slightly embarrassed for being intimidated. In the end he sighed and walked slowly and stiffly over to the northern window. The view was spectacular. The sunlight shimmered off the distant harbor, people laughted and talked in the streets below, and you could see cars lined up all the way to Sconscet. It was beautiful and yet, all Zach could think about was that the thick glass windows were his only protection from the outside. As a result, Zach simply stood there while Kelly cheerily examined the view.
"Do you like it?" Kelly asked cautiously.
"Yeah."
"Are you okay?"
"Y-yes I am." Kelly studied Zach for a moment and led him away from the window. She could tell from his rigid expression that he had had enough. As they made their way back down stairs Kelly saw the fear simply melt away to relief. They paused when the reached the sitting area to examine a few of the historic displays.
"Well, that wasn't so bad." Zach said, some of his ego returning. "I could have gone twice as high."
"Well then Zach." Kelly was feeling her right earlobe. "I've lost my earring and it must be back up at the top. Since your so confident, why don't you go find it for me?"

A corney story? Yes indeed, but you'll still need to bring along $5.00. Also, this letterbox isn't dangerous or anything, just high. Happy hunting.
