Coors is a name that conjures up an image of cool mountain streams, clear blue skies and all that is inspiring about the Rocky Mountain West. It was 1873 when Adolf Coors came upon the Rocky Mountain spring water that convinced him to build his brewery in Golden, and his beer continues to satisfy beer lovers across the country today. The Coors Brewery is open year-round from 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday-Saturday, closed Sundays and holidays. Free tours are offered continuously throughout the day and complimentary beer samples and soft drinks are served afterwards. I have hidden this microbox nearby in Vanover Park, where you can enjoy the quiet flow of Clear Creek with an overview of the Brewery. So come take a tour and find my microbox all in the same area.

Directions:
For Coors Brewery, take I70 west to the Colfax Exit #262, continue west onto West Highway 6. Turn right on 19th Street, go to the third traffic light and turn left onto Ford St, which will bring you to 13th and Ford Streets where the Visitor Parking Lot is located for General Daily tours. To get to this letterbox, continue on Ford Street a few more blocks to Water Street and turn right into Vanover Park.

Clues:
Park near the entrance and walk down the sidewalk past a huge tree (now just a trunk) on your left to an intersection with another sidewalk. You will see the Coors Brewery straight ahead across the creek. Turn left and go 35 steps as it curves to the right past a bench. Turn left for 10 steps, then left again and go 38 steps to a bridge beyond the end of the parking area (not the bridge across Clear Creek toward Coors). Take 1 step off the sidewalk to the right and look under the cement where the metal support joins it. The camo microbox is behind some rocks. Please re-cover well.
