This letterbox is located near the trailhead of some great hiking spots..including Clockmill Pond, Ferris Lake.
Directions - Take the Thruway to Exit 29 and follow signs for Route 10 North. Route 10 joins 29A for a spell then continues North toward Arietta, eventually meeting Route 8 in the Piseco Lake area. You will take 10 north until you reach Powley Road on the left side of Route 10. Take this road south until you come to the Ferris trailhead...about 3 miles. The trailhead will be on your left. Park along the road here and walk into the trailhead. As you can see from the sign, there are many great hikes here. Pick one, sign in and then go find the letterbox! As you walk over the planks, you will see a second set of planks up ahead. The Snazzy Snail is under the fifth plank on the right hand side.
