This letterbox is easily accessible. It holds a hand carved stamp for all to enjoy :o) Once again bring the bug spray.....
Oriskany is a very small town with only two street lights in existence...one that blinks is where the journey begins...
Head through the light in the direction that will take you over the "tracks" on a bridge to the "Flats".
As you descend from the bridge you will be entering the Oriskany Flats. On your left you will see a sign that says "Oriskany Flats Wildlife Management Area" New York State Department of Conservation. Turn in here.
Once on the stone road stay to your right and enter the parking area...keep a straight path and look for the edge of the parking area where a paths beginning beckons.
Take a short walk to the end of this path,,,and turn right. You will hear and see a brook running by. Walk over the brook and begin to head up the hill,,,don't move to fast or you will go past.....
On your right is a tree keeping watch over the water....the "rocks" line its "roots" and cover some secrets.....look for where the rock and the roots meet to conceal your prize.......don't be afraid to lift and look for all prizes are not easily seen.
Once you have stamped in please replace as you found it.
