Take route 28 to Forestport. If coming from the south, bear right immediately after the bridge.
(From the north, you can't take a left, so just before the bridge, go right, and change direction by turning around, and pass the bridge, rather than cross it).
Immediately on your right, on the same side as the bridge, you'll see a sandy parking area. Park there. You'll see a SPEED LIMIT 30 sign. With that on your right, look across the street for a "Woodgate/Forestport" sign. Keeping that on your left, walk across the road. On the other side of the road, within arms reach, there is a bird box-nest held up in the branches of a tree with wire.
** Notice that the wire crosses 2 small branches. When replacing the box, please make sure that 2 branches are wired, so that if one breaks, the other will continue to hold the box. Thanks!
If you want to collect another bird, "Red, Red Robin" is a short drive away.
