8/17/07--Replanted!

Welcome to beautiful Concord! Sleepy Hollow is a cemetery in the center of town. On Author's Ridge, you can find headstones for many of our most famous literary figures. To find the box, you must first locate the gravesite of Ralph Waldo Emerson. There are maps and signs posted around the cemetery.

Stand facing RWE's gave. Turn to the right and then walk left along the low concrete wall. Turn right onto the dirt path when the wall ends. You will pass a sphere on the left and a hollow stump on the right. Continue past Flannery on the left and White on the left. After White, you will come to a low, pointy concrete pillar. Walk 22 paces passing between two large trees. You will come to a narrow, slanted tree. Behind the tree you will see a partly buried rock. The letterbox is hidden under the rock.

Sleepy Hollow has a lot of tourists in the summer so be careful not to attract unwanted attention! There is a stone bench nearby where you can examine the contents.

If you have trouble, or find a problem with the box email me at concordletterbox@verizon.net.

Be sure to read the disclaimer and waiver at www.letterboxing.org/waiver.htm.
