West Hill School is located on the corner of Route 10 and Cliff Streets, and served as the local elementary school for over 100 years. It was constructed in 1891 on the site of the former Canajoharie Academy, where Susan B. Anthony taught before joining the Women's Suffrage Movement. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
Locate the fire hydrant on the corner of Cliff and Route 10, across the street from the school. Walk up the hill away from the hydrant, counting sidewalk paving slabs. Examine the stone wall where the fourth and fifth slabs meet.
Please take care to re-hide this box carefully. I worry that it will be quite exposed in the winter.
