From the parking lot of "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" LB,

Exit the parking lot and turn LEFT, continuing South towards Leadville.

Travel 1.4 miles, across the lake to a parking lot on the Left. This is the Clinton Gulch Resevoir.

Begin at the sign "Clinton Gulch Resevoir"

Take the lower trail down to the left and follow along side
the lake for 300-400 yards.
Cross over/under several fallen trees across the path.

Follow the path just about up to where it disappears into the forest.
There is a 'clump' of 4 tall Pine Trees (40-50 ft trees)
on your left in a row going downhill towards the lake.
There are 2 large "boulders" up against the 4th Pine tree

**watch your step** **slightly precarious location**

The letterbox is in the cavity that is formed by these 2 "boulders" buried under several rocks.

Replace carefully, the area is occasionally frequented by fisherman.

Easy hike, 10 minutes roundtrip.
