Take I-70 West from Frisco toward Copper Mountain
Exit Copper Mountain/ Leadville and go South towards Leadville.
Travel 6.0 miles to a scenic turnout/parking lot on the left.
Begin down the trailhead/road at top of the parking lot.
At the first fork in the path, follow path to the LEFT.
(going towards the stream)
Cross over a manmade spillway with valves.
(be sure to pause here for a spectacular view & soak it in)
Once across the spillway, walk through brush - there is a visible foot path - and up a steep (but brief) inlcine to an old mining road.
Turn RIGHT and head UPHILL, going East, approx 170 paces to a bend in the road.
From the bend (which turns left)walk 20 paces uphill to a small grove of Pine trees on your Right.
Hike up into the center of the Pine tress where you will see a large,"Gnarly" old fallen tree stump.
The letterbox is located behind the stump at the base under 3 rocks.
Replace Carefully (it needs to survive winter)
This is a relatively easy hike, 20 minutes roundtrip (depending on how long you stop to enjoy the view)
After finding this box, continue on to Here Comes The Sun LB, located only 1.4 miles away...
