As of September 2009 box is missing!

The terrain is a good gravel trail, a little steep in places. Wear good shoes and bring water on warm days. The hike is short - total time is about 1/2 hour.

In Wenatchee, follow Miller Street south to the end. Turn right and follow along the Appleatchee Horse area. Park at the end of the road.

Start hiking at the trailhead under the power poles, which goes directly behind the horse area. Follow the MAIN trail up - it's a little steep at first, makes one switchback turn, and then flattens out a little way up. Further up, off to the right you will see large piles of white rocks - make a left turn here, following the MAIN trail. There are lots of trails leading different directions here - keep left, on the widest trail. The trail here is flat. At the first switch-back (AFTER the flat area) the trail starts going steep again. Look to the left for a lone twiggy tree/bush. Check behind the tree for a rock pile, which hides the letterbox. Enjoy the view and re-hide well! If you have trouble finding the letterbox with these clues, please email us!

If you like you can continue on to the top of Saddlerock for a fantastic view of the Wenatchee Valley. Have fun!
