Take Hwy 215 east from I-15 towards the Alta ski area. You will then need Exit #6 or 6200S exit towards Alta. Follow UT-190 which eventually turns into Wasatch Blvd (UT-210)headed south. Turn left (east) at Little Cotonwood Canyon and then follow this road up into the canyon for about 6 miles. On the right side of the road you will see a sign for the White Pine Trailhead. Park in that parking area. (If you get to Snowbird Ski area then you've passed it.)
Take the trail down behind the restroom. Cross the bridge. Take the trail to the right. You will soon come to an area where there has been a slide (all the trees knocked down). As you look at the slide, on your left should be a large aspen and a conifer tree with a large bolder nestled at the base. The aspen has a large "A" carved in it just above head level. Turn back towards the bridge and take 15 paces back. There is a large conifer tree on your right with a little "cave" at its base. The box is in that cave covered by numerous rocks, branches, and bark. Please rehide well and be discrete.
The slide is nice place to watch the sun set and there are usually several people there doing just that.
