Wolfe Park
Dorman Road
Binghamton, NY 13901
The hike is approximately 1/2 mile each way. Beware, the trail can be muddy towards the end.

Down the hill, past the gazebo and over the bridge
Pick the trail to your left that runs along the ridge

Listen as you walk, the water calls
Near station three, you'll spy the waterfalls*

Past station four but before station five
On the left you will note trail red and white

Choose this new route and cross the narrow creek
Up the hill you'll continue towards the treasure you seek

Proceed several minutes, 'til in the distance you'll spot
A boardwalk stretched out - but cross it, do not!**

Before the boardwalk, on the left is a stump
Leave the path here, for this landmark is trump

Mark off thirteen paces and head for the trees
The ones horizontal, undisturbed by breeze

Look for the one with rocks at its base
For here you will find your treasured case

* The Grand Canyon of Wolfe Park is a tributary of the Chenango River

** The trail gets noticeably muddier past this point, so if you choose to continue your walk, proceed with caution
