When approaching from Green Bay on 141 North turn unto Highway 8 you will see this highway about 1 mile before you reach Niagara, WI it will be on your right. Follow highway 8 until you reach US 2 make a right here and when you reach the first stoplight make a left unto Main Street in Norway, MI. If you are approaching from the direction of Iron Mountain, MI on US 2 continue along the highway until you reach Main Street of Norway, MI and take a left at the intersection. Follow Main Street under the railroad bridge and when you see a yellow (Children Playing) sign a dirt road will be right after it on your right, turn here and enter into the small parking lot to your left if you see a large playground you have gone to far.

Clues

Difficulty: Easy
Terrain: Easy (a 1 mile long paved trail)

From the gate take a right you will know you are in the right area because there should be a grouping of outdoor furniture to your left. As you continue along the path you should see the Knights Kingdom to your right, continue on the same cement path you are currently walking on.

The next landmark you will see is a platform hanging over the lake to your left feel free to walk out and enjoy the scenery. Continuing along the trail you will next approach a bridge cross over the bridge and a little while later you will find a split in the trail. Once you have found the split you should stay on the right trail. If you would like you can take the left path and there will be two benches at the end for you to sit on.

You will continue walking along the trail for awhile until you approach a bench perched precariously near the edge of the water to your left. This bench should be surrounded by red ore and have a plaque on the back that reads donated by Rae and Larry Tinti, and then you will know for sure that you have found the correct bench.

Starting from the edge of the bench walk approximately 98 paces you should see a large group of trees at about 37 paces. Continue to count your paces until you reach 98. You should see a wooden post sticking out of the ground in front of you to the left and a two trunked tree behind you to your left. To your left in between these two objects there should be a pile of tree trunks. About four paces from the edge of the trail in towards the tree trunks you should find the letterbox. It will be buried under a few layers of bark in front of a double tree trunk that is still in the ground (it may be deep because there is a lot of bark lying around).

Please be discreet about finding and hiding the box, a lot of people walk this trail in the summer and the winter. After you have hidden the box you can continue along the trail to the parking lot.
