Location: Find the large park just north of Dexter
Time: ~30 minutes
Terrain: Fairly level, some walking on small footpath.

This box was planted for the 2005 Great Lakes Gathering in Dexter, MI. The clues were initially posted at the gathering but I’m also posting them on the website since it will remain as a “permanent” box (assuming no animals or humans remove it!).

This box honors one of the youngest artists to sign a contract with Motown and to have a U.S. #1 album at age 13. To find this box you should park in the area where you can observe fast moving water. Find a path heading north that will take you under a bridge. When the paved path ends, make your way through the camping area to get to the Canoe Camp area. Follow the road/path through the campsites, past the pump, until you reach the river (and possibly canoes). Take the path south into the woods and pass under a stick in a fork. Continue on until a tree blocks your way. Follow the tree up the hill to find a small path. Head south on this path for 8 steps, then look for a fallen tree at 100 degrees. Do you wonder who is inside?

We hope you enjoyed this short walk and, since we don’t live in the area, we would really appreciate an update on the status of the box if you find it.

Hike length: 0.5 miles
