This driveby letterbox is placed near the unusual rock formation known as Tooth Rock, which got its name because it resembles a giant tooth jutting up out of the top of a small mountain near Rattlesnake Canyon. I wanted to place the box up on Tooth Rock but, with a 4, 6 and 10 year old, decided this will have to do for now.
The turnout is on the North side of Poway Road between Espola Road and Millard's Road. The best approach is from the East (coming down the grade toward Poway).
From the callbox post find the guard rail post with the silver reflector blade. Face west (toward Espola) and count 12 guard rail posts. The letterbox is actually a plastic zip bag on the inside of the guard rail.
