5/30/2009 Box is alive and well.
Sibley Music Library*
The library is housed in a mixed-use building across the street from the Eastman School of Music (26 Gibbs St. Rochester, NY). There are four entrances to the building, but the most popular is the entrance on Gibbs St. just north of the Eastman School of Music Bookstore. Go up the stars or take the elevator to the 2nd floor.
Enter the library (patrons without an ID card can ring bell for admittance and then must sign guest book).
Go up 52 travertine stairs.
(If you are tired at the halfway point, go to the RESERVE desk and read the funny captions under the glass while you rest.)
Turn right.
In small lobby, turn left.
At carrel 66, turn left.
Stand on the brown stripe.
Take 22 “urban” steps.
Turn right.
Top shelf.
