At the head of the clay valley,
In the lee of the windward range,
Above the crater from whom the boys took their name,
Is the white cliff topped by two iron monsters.
Once at the trail summit, turn to face the home of the gods.
I am nestled in the roots of a small dead tree
Whose remaining branch points to the taboo district.
