Oxbow Lake Wildlife Area has public fishing and hunting with a valid license. It is located 5miles North of Defiance, OH on State Route 15 at Schick Road. You will take this road until it intersects with Trinity Road.

When entering the area, you will need to take the drive until it splits off to the right or left. The descriptions of the boxes will begin from this main drive.

#1 Boba Fett(missing):
Turn right off the main drive. You will then take the main path past the lake on your left, past a drive to the lake on your left and past 2 turn outs. You will then come to another road on your left. Take this road and not the road in front of you. You will drive until you see a turnout and the lake on your right. You will see 8 trees standing together (literally) and you will find Boba Fett hiding within the 8 legs. Be sure you are not seen by the fishers and hunters… this is a busy area!

#2 Empire:
Turn left off the main drive. You will then take the first drive on your left. This will lead you to a parking area. Park on the left side of the parking area. You will see a tree with an “eye” in it. This is located on the left corner of the parking lot. Looking at that tree with an ‘eye’ you will see a 3 tree… yes, a 3 tree. In the cleft near the base of the tree, you will see the Empire awaiting your arrival and departure. You will want to find the Rebels next, but don’t let the Empire know you have gone to the other side.

#3 Rebels :
You will find this box in the same area as the Empire. Be discreet, you don’t want the Rebels to know you just came from the Empire. Stand at the Empire and you will see the reading of Due North on your compass. Follow the well hidden path into the wooded area. You will walk 14 paces from the paved parking area to a stump that holds the Rebels. On this 14 pace journey, you will find and walk over 2 fallen soldiers that did not survive the battle.

Watch out for wood ticks, bugs and people. This is a dog training area and also the local Search and Rescue teams do training at this Wildlife area. Enjoy your adventure!
