Difficulty – fairly simple, I think
Time – 2 minutes to the box, but plan an hour or more for the box and the building and some paths.
Directions to starting place – K-61 highway, turn east on 30th avenue. The nature center is at 3002 East 30th Avenue.
Details you should know – The nature center is a terrific place with great interactive exhibits and animals. Definitely worth seeing.
Details you don’t need to know – It appears that you can fish in the pond and on my second visit I saw a bunch of school kids in canoes.
Clues: **A NEW BOX IN MAY, 2004**
Park in the first parking lot, then walk to the back parking lot. There will be a path into the woods on your left. If you stand looking at the path with your back to the parking lot, you will see a good sized evergreen on your right. At the foot of the tree you should find a box. Now, go enjoy the preserve. It's delighful. :-)
