This microbox is hidden out in the open, but even on one of the busiest weekends of the year, there were almost no people around. Our suggestion is to bring a camera and pretend to be sitting down or squatting to get that “perfect angle” as you reach behind to find this box!
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Being a boy-King and Ruler of the Upper Egyptian Heliopolis is not all it’s cracked up to be, you know. At the age of 9, when most kids were messing around with action figures of Anubis and Ra, I had to deal with an older wife bossing me around... (And she was my own half-sister! Sheeesh!)
When other pre-teens were listening to the latest Memphis sounds, (Memphis, Egypt, that is) I had to listen to two overbearing advisors who both wanted to grab my throne. Even the initial thrill of riding my chariot out to hunt lions and gazelles in the desert began to be a kind of a drag. So I decided to take a break from the pressure…. I traveled to the rain forest…
CLUES: Enter the main visitors’ center and walk through, keeping the restaurant on the right with the water straight ahead. Exit onto a patio with fountains and go as far as possible to a white rail fence. Take a right (toward restaurant) and use the stairs on your left down to the waterfront sidewalk. Proceed to the left, keeping white pyramid on your left and water on your right. When you reach bridge (do not cross) look for electrical maintenance box on your left sitting on stair step concrete blocks. Look into a crack between the blocks. Camouflaged microbox is pushed into the space.
Please replace carefully in the exact spot so that future letterboxers will find it, too!
