Clues:
Find the wide spot in the road of Barlow Ohio located west of Marietta, Oh about 13 miles on H.W. 550 or about 5 miles west of Belpre on H.W. 7 and 9 miles north on H.W. 339.
Difficulty: Very easy
Terrain: Drive up then a fairly short walk on flat ground.
Time: Less than 15 minutes after you park.
Distance: Less than 20 yards from car to quest and back again.
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.
Box 1 Scenic View Too: From the flashing light at Barlow head east on 550 toward Marietta and abreast of the Barlow Cemetery on the left set your odometer and continue east. After 4.1 miles turn right onto Goodfellow Park Road and look to the left for the first group of pine trees. "Scenic View Too" is hiding under a rock at the base of the third pine tree from 550. When you have discretely gotten "Scenic View Too" and done the stamping, replace everything and reseal the baggies well and re hide the box as you found it.
Box 2 Wake Up Call ******NOTE: Wake Up Call replaced 5/29/08. NOTE: 2/28/09 Wake Up Call Relocated after pile of boulders was moved and letterpouch was left laying out where I luckily found it...for relocation. Get back on H.W. 550 and continue east for 3.6 miles and turn left onto Johnson Road . Close to the mail box, on the left, is a telephone/electric pole with stabilizing wires anchored in the ground. Follow the wire with the bright yellow covering and then notice the tree close to its anchor point. Look behind the tree under the cinder block for "Wake Up Call". You can park almost abreast of this tree and do your stamping in the car. Discretely do your stamping and reseal the baggies securely please, as the pouch is not waterproof. Rehide the pouch as you found it and have a fun day boxing.
