********NOTICE********
On nice days there can be a fair number of walkers and joggers along the path. Be stealthy!! I had to retrieve it from a trashcan once.
CLUES
At the intersection of Rte. 252 and Goshen Road is a large farm called "Fox Catcher Farm". It's an old DuPont estate. (There was a news story years ago about a personal trainer who was shot on the grounds by an eccentric DuPont family member. This is that place.)
Opposite the farm entrance on Goshen Road is a gravel parking lot leading to a trail. The trail (called Goshen Trail) is a very pleasant 1 mile stretch of fine gravel that is easily accessible for families and strollers (could be a slightly bumpy ride). There are benches too.
Starting from the parking lot, you will follow the trail down a slight incline.
You will pass a rotary bench. (You'll know it when you see it).
Pass the 1/4 mile marker.
Pass the car bench.
The path will now lead you close to the road. Continue on the trail, passing the area where you can see the 40MPH sign on the roadway.
On the left side of the trail, close to the 1/2 mile marker and alongside the chainlink fence, you will find a small square stone structure. In the middle of the stone structure you will find the box.
If you reach the 1/2 mile marker, you've gone too far.
When finished, please re-hide it well and shake the branches around so people on the path can't easily see where someone trudged through the bushes to get to the box.
Thanks - and have fun!
Box contains logbook, stamp, and pen. Don't forget to bring your own ink!
