The original Letterbox went missing, but since I love this park so much, I'm giving it one more try....
Results and Roses
The Man who wants a garden fair,
Or small or very big,
With flowers growing here and there,
Must bend his back and dig.
The things are mighty few on earth
That wishes can attain.
Whatever we want of any worth
We've got to work to gain.
It matters not what goal you seek
Its secret here reposes:
You've got to dig from week to week
To get Results or Roses.
~ Edgar Guest
CLUES
(OK, so the poem has nothing to do with the clues, I like it anyway)
http://www.elizabethpark.org/
(Now this has everything to do with the clues)
~ In "Photo Album" In Images From The Past, the first letter in what the sheep are doing
~ F _ Q
~ Looking at the map, the 2nd letter of the Ave. you enter the park from nearest the tennis courts
~ Still looking at the map, the letter for Parking
~ In "History" the first letter of Charles' wifes name
~ In "Friends", the first letter of the last word
~ The first letter of RTRW's real name
~ In "History" the first letter of the third word of the heading
~ The first letter of MayEve's real name
~ In "Trees of Elizabeth Park", the last letter in the pink box
Now that you have figured out these two words, reverse them and go to that place. A Rose Is A Rose awaits you in a little rock cave behind Julian Burr Eddy’s bench. Facing the bench, the cave is on the left at ground level behind 2 small brownstone slabs. PLEASE take your time to make sure you are unseen retrieving and replacing the box. Thank you.
I hope you take some time to enjoy all this beautiful park has to offer. Be sure to check out the ducklings (about 25 of them!) at the pond. I was told they were hatched last week. And if the roses aren’t in bloom when you are at the park, you MUST return when they are. Truly magnificent!
