**Placed again!! Re-carved the stamp and replaced it on 8/15/05 .. Please update records, as the clues have changed!**

Location:

Take Meridian street North, and go down the hill toward the Puyallup Valley. At the first light on the hill (not the one by the gas station), turn right. The park will be just up the road, to your left. There will be signs!

Wildwood Park is located at 23rd Ave. SE and 9th St. SE. This park contains 80 lush acres - 55 of which are naturally forested. Other attractions include a playground, two youth ballfields, five covered picnic shelters, a day camp facility, exercise trails, several paths, a caretaker's house, and a historic water reservoir. (Currently, the road is under construction.. The park is still open and busy, though, so if you can handle driving through a little bit of dirt, you'll be fine!)

Clues:

Timon and Pumbaa LOVE to eat bugs! Sometimes, they find these bugs in the nastiest places... but it's still good eating and good grub! If you follow these clues, you might just discover the treasure they love so much!

Upon entering the park, stay on the left road and follow this down past the yellow house to the parking lot. Park and go down the stairs toward the children's play area and the sound of water!

From the play area, go toward the OTHER parking lot (towards the left), to check out a beautiful waterfall!! Parents, watch your children.. or they may be so caught up in the beauty of Timon and Pumbaa's hideout that they might jump in.

Turn around after taking in this sight, and head across the road toward a small bridge. Take this bridge over the creek.. Take a small path that will curve up to the right, near a big cabin.. (Who knows? This may be Timon and Pumbaa's home!!). Go left around the cabin and exit through the opening in the fence between two large trees.

From this point, you will be facing a road. In the family of trees across the street was the OLD location of Timon and Pumbaa's 'grub'.. but the grub has moved! If you're quick enough, you might just be able to catch it again!

Go back through the fence, on the path you were on just before. Once you're back through the fence, follow the brown fence up a hill toward a covered picnic area. You will enter a parking lot area, with restrooms to your right. Veer right up this paved parking lot, to the point where you can only go ONE WAY!

Watch for cars, as some may be traveling on this paved path. Go ONE WAY until you see a big brown sign on your right, stating "Exercise Trail". There will be two trails, one to the left of the sign and one to the right.. ... It seems like Timon and Pumbaa's grub has scurried up the right path! About 40 steps up the path is a small trail leading to a couple of fallen logs. Behind the first log, where a 'bridge' connects the two logs, and hidden well under brush .. might be where this grub is hiding!

****EDIT 8/16/06: The box has been moved (thankfully, since the bridge is no longer as covered as it once was) and it's safely hidden behind the large front log. Dig around with a stick and you should be able to feel it underneath! Please push it far under the log so that remains hidden. Thank you!

Please keep this letterbox well hidden, and try to be discreet! Lots of people pass through this area and it is a very busy park. There's lots to do at this park, so enjoy the whole day there!
