***** Box is missing and will be replaced***

This box is located at the River Lake Inn. Sorry no pets allowed on the trail but it is stroller friendly.

From Battle Creek M-66 South turns right into M-60. Go approx. 4 miles to Ralston Rd. Follow Ralston Rd. approx 2 miles to the Inn. It is on the West side. The River Lake Inn has a wonderful deck out back that overlooks their nature trails.... sit and enjoy the summer before or after you search for this box!

It was 3:30 when Sharon drove into the parking lot. She got out of her car and headed down the lane towards her friend's house. As she wondered the lane, she was taken back by all the birds she saw. There were hummingbirds, bluebirds and yellow finches flying everywhere around her. Sharon noticed a small weather worn house with the number 12 on it. It looked like this house had been loved by someone at one time but maybe had fallen into disrepair from the owners passing away or failing due to some serious illness. It made her sad to think of such things. Further down the street she saw a sign advertising a nursery. That made her ponder new beginnings and life. As she continued her feet began to ache. So Sharon decided to stop and think about all the things she saw. Stopping to smell the roses as it were.
Suddenly remembering why she was on this journey she puts her shoes back on and hustles on her way.
Strolling along still thinking about life, something startles her, a deer that had chosen that moment to cross the street, freezes and then hurries off into the brush. Sharon's heart is now racing because of the excitement and thrill to see such a wonderful creature up close, close enough to touch. This is turning out to be a wildlife adventure she thought.
Sharon smiles to herself as she continues on her way but doesn't remember the trip to her friend's house being this long. Although she is thoroughly enjoying it. Just then two bluebirds fly right in front of her. They zoom back and forth from one side of the lane to the other. Again Sharon decides to sit and watch the birds playing. Stopping to smell the roses as it were.
Three times Sharon stops to smell the roses before she notices her friend abode. (remember, not everyone lives in a house)It is now 3:50 but she still must travel in the opposite direction from her friends home to reach it. When she finally arrives she is met with such a warm embrace that she wishes everyone could feel as loved as she did at that moment. xoxo
