UPDATE: May 30, 2010
The letterbox is, alas, gone. We searched all over today to see if it had been moved, but there is no longer any sign of it. Falling Williamsville, our first LB, is no more. :-(

UPDATE: April 20, 2006
The original stamp was falling apart. So today we replaced it with a new stamp. It is based on the original stamp, but looks a lot nicer!

Starting location: Williamsville, N.Y., Glen Park, Main St. entrance.

Terrain: Mild to moderate - mostly a wide easy path, with a little bit of off-trail scrambling. Very public, so take care - don't be too obvious!

Description of location: Located near picturesque Glen Falls, Glen Park is jointly owned by the Village of Williamsville and the Town of Amherst. It includes many interconnecting ponds which are now home for many ducks. Popular activities in this walking park include taking wedding pictures, fishing and nature walks.

Read the poem for the clues... :-)

You begin above, at Main
Walking down the path of stone
Come upon a garden island
Wait here until you’re alone.

(Heed this well my friend, take care
Two islands you’ll find this way
Stop not at the one with the plaque
Move on and succeed you may.)

Take the left way ‘round the isle
And ‘fore the paths reunite
Look for the half moon on the rock
And your prize is near in sight.

Move one rock to the left
Of the one with the moon
This marks the place ‘neath you will find
A treasure so very soon

No one looking, that is good!
No time to be ‘fraid or meek
Climb round the other side with care
In the wall is what you seek.

Good Luck!!
