This is a short pleasant hike (half an hour or less) at a new park in Jefferson County located just a few miles northwest of Fort Atkinson on Hwy. 12. This park has been newly constructed and leashed dogs are allowed. There are pit facilities and a nice picnic shelter. The park consists of both moderate and steep grade trails and it sits next to Rose Lake, where you will likely find the mosquito count to be high in season. As you read about the history of the park on the trail head sign, you will understand why we chose Ducky as the theme for this box.

Start your hike at the trail head of the Dorothy Carnes Park. (We were able to pick up a park map at the trail head, so hopefully you will as well.) Follow the "Quack Track" towards the lake and at each trail divide stay left, except for the one small detour to the bench that dead ends near the beginning of the trail. As you "Quack" along, look for Ducky nestled into the hole at the base of the fallen tree, left of the path, at woods end.

If you choose to travel on, the path ahead will shortly loop back to your current spot. To return to your vehicle, retrace your steps to the last trail divide and choose any direction to go. All trails will shortly lead you back to the trail head.

Final note: Most of our clues are pretty wordy. We chose to be a bit obscure this go around, but are confident you can find this box with these clues. If not, please let us know!
