** 8/08 update: The box is still intact but has a soggy logbook which I'll replace when I'm able. Don't let this dicourage you - you can leave your personal stamp image on seperate paper if you'd like. Thanks!!**

You can locate Hobyah’s Hideaway Letterbox by hiking the Nine Corner Lake trail. This popular lake has beautiful blue-green water and a picturesque shoreline. (Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel if it's swimming weather. I'd only recommend jumping into the lake if you're a swimmer because the shoreline is on the deep side.) The trailhead is on the north side of 29A, just 250 yards of its intersection with NY Route 10 at Pine Lake. Parking is on either side of the road.

Clues:

The letterbox is located approximately one mile from the trailhead. Follow the trail as it crosses over a total of three bridges. When the trail splits, take the path at the 255 degree bearing (hint: if you take the path at a 340 degree bearing you will go directly to the lake). I could tell you to count 245 steps up the trail from the “Y” but I won’t. Instead, I’ll tell you to walk until you find a large boulder directly on the right of the trail. Take a bearing of 155 degrees and look for a smaller boulder. Walk the 13 paces needed to reach the boulder where Hobyah is sleeping. To find him you need to remove a portion of the rock.

You've heard it before; please be discreet when putting Hobyah back into his hiding spot. Thanks and Happy Trails!
