This micro box is located outside the gate to the Deer Valley Rock Art Center, and is accessible anytime. The museum's hours vary per season and is worth checking out (623-582-8007).
The petroglyphs at the Hedgepeth Hills petroglyph site were made by people hundreds, even thousands, of years ago. The museum was established to preserve the 1,500 ancient petroglyphs.
Directions: From I-17 take the Dear Valley Road exit, and go west towards the Deer Valley Rock Art Center. As Deer Valley Rd. begins to curve, there is a pull-out on the right, and a gate to the museum. Park outside this gate.
Clues: There is a fence along the pull-out and the bottom of the Adobe Dam. Find the white "No Trespassing" sign that is attached to the fence. To the left of this sign (S/W), go 10 steps toward the gate. The microbox is in the rock pile at the fence. Please be discreet and rehide well with the rocks.
