Drive to the O'Donnell Park entrance to the Longview Bike Trails located at High Grove and Raytown Rd. Park in the very last parking area and start trail there. The trail is paved with several unpaved trails splitting off. Great for walking, biking, strollers etc! This letterbox as well as #2 are great for smaller kids since they are very close to the paved trail.
Walk/ride along trail and enjoy the scenery. You will cross over a bridge. Next, you will come to a HUGE (about 3' in diameter) tree on the left where you'll see a dirt trail intersect. Stay on the paved trail and you'll eventually see a long wooden fence along the left side of trail. When you see the end of the fence in sight, start to watch on your right for an area that is a pretty obvious spot to hide something. :O) You will also see a spray painted 18 on the left side of the trail. The letterbox is approx. 4 footfalls from the "18". There is a lot of brush and a small evergreen tree. Bubby & Sissy's letterbox, called "Spring Leaves # 2" is under some sticks and leaves directly behind the evergreen. Feel free to take a "treasure" but please try to replace it with another. Please be sure to replace the sticks and leaves as this is a well traveled trail.
Continue along the trail for as long as you like. There are several exits along trail, but the easiest and quickest way back to your vehicle is to turn around.
