Update: 04-15-06 While checking on our boxes in this area, we found the street to this park closed to traffic. We did go in to check on the box, but found the tree housing this box surrounded by water on 3 sides. There seems to be construction affecting the sewer drains and possible expansion of the treatment plant. Until we know what is going on here and construction is completed, we PULLED THIS BOX and will consider it TEMPORARILY RETIRED until further notice.

This is a very quick "drive-by" box placed in relation to the 400 State Trail Headquarters located in Reedsburg. You can find the Headquarters on South Ave. where it intersects with S. Park Steet.

To begin your search count the number of white cased windows on the depot that serves as the Trail Headquarters. Do not count door windows, just the number of white cased windows. (A)_________.

Secondly, locate the dedication sign at the southeast corner of the parking lot behind the building. Count the number of letters in this man's name. (B)_________.

Then, count the number of large garage doors on the Reedsburg Ambulance Service adjacent to the Trail Headquarters.
(C)_________.

Finally, Multiply A and B and divide by C.

Your answer will be the compass reading you will take after you drive to the park located at the end of South Pine Street. Take South Ave. east from the Trail Headquarters to locate S. Pine street. At the turnaround in the park, there is a gate. Take your compass reading there, to spy a mangled tree cluster. On the South side of this tree cluster you will find something very useful for the 400 State Trail.

If you've got some energy to burn, consider running a race out at the Hartje Center north on Hwy. V. The Gingerbread Man has challenged any and all to catch him if you can! Herbie can also be found in Reedsburg and Rock Springs is not too far out of the way as well.
