Directions:
From the traffic light in Hollis at Rt. 122 and Rt. 130. Go 1.8 miles west on Rt. 130 toward Brookline. The Beaver Brook Trail head is on the right.
You can get a map at: www.beaverbrook.org/bbtmaps.htm

Clues:

Part 1: BB Munch Letterbox
Study the map at the trail head.
Follow Wildlife Pond Trail.
At the intersection stay right on Old City Trail.
Find the high wooden bridge. Do Not take the bridge.
With your back to the bridge take 40 paces back the way you came.
Look up to see a blue blaze and the white BB marker ahead.
Stand in front of that tree.
Look left to the break in the stone wall--pass just through.
Turn left and take 2 steps.
Under a balancing boulder, look low in the wall, is the prize you seek.
***Please re-hide carefully.

Part 2: BB Lodge Letterbox

Now you can cross the bridge.
Take a left on DAM ROAD.
Continue on, the trail will curve left
Keep the pond immediately on your left
Stop to sit a while on the bench, Can you find it?
“in Memory of Susan Chaplin Burleson, Nature Lover.”
Continue on, keeping the pond on your left.
You will come to a parting of the trails.
Look ahead and see the sign: Route 130 (on a tree)
You can go either way BUT take the wider logging road to the right.
Count 40 steps
Stop and see a twin trunk tree on the left (it has a blue blaze on the back)
Behind it spy a rotten old tree trunk.
Look just below, a leaning slab.
Behind the light rocks is your prize.
***Please re-hide carefully.
Continue on...you are nearly back to the parking area!
