Home Field: Veteran’s Field, Depot Station, Chatham

The Cape Cod Baseball League has been the premier amateur baseball league in the nation since 1885. Many players have gone on to play in the major leagues. Players from the A's are: Jeff Bagwell, Mike Lowell, Brian Roberts, Scott Shoeneweis, & Scott Williamson, just to name a few.

You can get a CCBL schedule by going to:
http://www.capecodbaseball.org/Schedules/sched06.htm

All games are free but ask for a donation.

Directions to Veteran’s Field:

From Off-Cape:
Take Rt. 6 to Exit 10 (Rt. 124). Right at top of ramp, then 1st left at flashing light (Queen Ann Rd.). Follow across Rt. 39 and Rt. 137, then bear right at "Business District" sign onto old Queen Ann Rd. Take left onto Rt. 28, follow through stop light to the field on left.

From P-town:
Take Rt. 6 to Exit 10 (Rt. 124). Left at top of ramp, then 1st left at flashing light (Queen Ann Rd.). Follow across Rt. 39 and Rt. 137, then bear right at "Business District" sign onto old Queen Ann Rd. Take left onto Rt. 28, follow through stop light to the field on left.

Directions to the box:

Start behind home plate. Head in a NW direction around the snack bar towards the foul pole in left field. You should pass 4 large Oak bats. From the foul pole, head NNE & stop at the scoreboard and count the # of blue letters in the Chatham A's logo. Continue on until you reach the flagpole. From here, Take (the # of blue letters in the logo X 6)steps heading WNW and staying parallel with the road. You should be beside a bushy tree. Enter through the slim doorway. You'll catch your prize under the limb of this tree almost touching the ground.

Please be very stealthy and re-hide well. This box has already gone missing once - I don't think I'll be replacing it again. Make sure it's still around for others to enjoy!

Be sure to look for the “magic #” in the front of the logbook. Add up the #’s from all 10 boxes and receive the clue to the bonus box.

If you plan on catching a game as well as the box, please try to come early or stay late, as these games are very well attended. If you try the box during the game, please use the utmost discretion, as there are always curious kiddos here.

Thanks & have fun! Since I cannot get to the fields on a regular basis, I would love to hear updates – please “contact the placer” or email me directly at mummaandbunnyboy@yahoo.com.
