This box is 1 of 10 (5 in the West League & 5 in the East League)

Home Field: Stony Brook Field

The Cape Cod Baseball League has been the premier amateur baseball league in the nation since 1885. Many players have gone on to play in the major leagues. Players from the Whitecaps are: Mike Myers, Sean Casey, Bobby Kielty, Chase Utley, Billy Wagner & Kip Wells, just to name a few.

You can get a CCBL schedule by going to:
http://www.capecodbaseball.org/Schedules/sched06.htm

All games are free but ask for a donation.

Directions to Field:

From Off-Cape or Ptown:
Rt. 6 to Exit 11 (Rt.137). Right at end of the ramp, proceed 2.8 miles on Rt.137, turn right on Underpass Road. Stony Brook School is on the left, the field is located behind the school buildings.

Directions to the box:

Start behind home plate. Head due North following the 3rd base path to the Left field foul pole. Turn due East to the scoreboard.

Count the number of green letters in the Brewster Whitecaps logo____. Count the number of white letters in the logo____. How many innings can be recorded on the scoreboard____? You'll need these numbers next:

Continue East (# of innings X # of strikes needed to get a player out) steps. Turn North down path until you get to a large pink & green rock. From the rock, you should spy a giant 4-limbed player at (# green letters X # of innings) degrees (remember this number - you need it for the next step).

From the giant 4-limbed player, look at (remember the number - # white letters) degrees for the split Oak bat. Check its base to catch your prize.

Please re-hide well.

Be sure to look for the “magic #” in the front of the logbook. Add up the #’s from all 10 boxes and receive the clue to the bonus box.

If you plan on catching a game as well as the box, please try to come early or stay late, as these games are very well attended. If you try for the box during a game, please use the utmost discretion, as there are always curious kiddos here.

Thanks & I hope you enjoy! Since I cannot get to the fields on a regular basis, I would love to hear updates – please “contact the placer” or email me directly at: mummaandbunnyboy@yahoo.com.
