Sharky’s Dinner
The Sharky’s Dinner letterbox is located in Francis William Bird Park in Walpole. This park is part of the Trustees of the Reservations and admission is free. There are quite a few letterboxes here. For more check out http://www.thetrustees.org/pages/329_bird_park.cfm.
General Directions: Cross Route 1 at the Walpole Mall onto Coney St. At the end of Coney St. take a right onto Old Post Rd. Bear left at Island for Wolcott St. You will see the park on your left. Take your first left onto Rhodes Ave. Park in the lot to the right of the church.
CLUE:
Start at the parking lot at the church on Rhodes Ave. Walk over the cement bridge. Continue on gravel path. DO NOT GO ON BRICK PATH. The path forks onto a cement and brick path go right and walk toward the stone bridge. Before the bridge the path you are on will intersect with another path going left and right, go left.
Walk for a while and you will pass a pool of water on your right. Follow this path into the woods were the brick path turns into a dirt path.
Walk on the dirt path until you come to a wooden bridge. With the bridge to your right look to the left and you will see a dirt path going up a small hill. Take 50 steps. Look to the left. You will see a large fallen tree, walk to it.
On the north side of the fallen tree about 5 feet from the left you will see a slit/opening in the upper log. Hidden in the opening that looks like a sharks mouth you will find the Sharky’s Dinner letterbox!
Please re-hide Sharky’s Dinner the way you found it
