**** As of 6-14-2005 this box is unavailable. Due to a bad storm, the tree the letterbox was hidden in fell down. I will try to rehide a.s.a.p. Thanks! :) ****

This is our first placement of a box so let me know if the directions need improvement or anything is wrong!

Baroda is a tiny town in southwest Michigan. Many people visit southwest Michigan because of its beautiful scenery and beaches on Lake Michigan. There are also many vineyards in and around Baroda. If you visit the area in late summer the smell of grape kool-aid lingers in the air! We have two parks in Baroda, the township park and the village park. This letterbox is located in the township park, although, you will pass the village park on your way.

Directions:
Most likely you will be taking I-94 to get to our little neck of the woods. While on I-94 take exit 16 (Bridgman). Travel North on Red Arrow Hwy. Keep going north, through the stoplight. There will be a State Police Department coming up on your right. Keep going until you see a good-sized car dealership on your right; take the first road on your right after you pass the dealership. That road will be Lemon Creek road. This is the same road that the park is on only further down. At this point you will be traveling east. Stay on Lemon Creek road as you pass through your first four way stop. Travel on to your next four way stop (this one will have a blinking red light) the intersecting road here is Cleveland Road. Keep going straight, you will now be entering the actual town of Baroda…DON’T BLINK!! :) (notice the village park on your right with the tennis courts and gazebo) Keep on going straight and you will come to another four way stop, the intersecting road here is 1st Street. At this point if you check your odometer once you travel .8 miles you will be at the entrance of the Baroda Township Park on your right!

Now turn right into the entrance and you will see a tree with a large memorial rock in front of it. Keep to the right and make your way to the next parking lot to the west. Park at the end of that parking lot and make your way along the tree line behind the bathrooms. You will see a large stump and a sign that reads “Nature Walk”. Follow that trail over a bridge. After that you will come to a fork in the trail, keep left. You will see a partially fallen tree. Walk under it then turn right and go to the break in the tree. In the trunk you should find what you are seeking!

Welcome to Baroda, Mi. :) !
