***** 3 boxes reported missing. I will update when replaced******

Trail difficulty: easy
Clues: easy
Length: under an hour
Directions: 101 east or west to exit for Route 122 in Amherst. At end of off ramp east take a right and for west take a left onto Baboosic Lake Rd. Follow for .4 of a mile and take a right onto Spring Rd. The parking lot for Pond Parish Preserve will be .9 mile on left.

Clues: ***Please keep in mind it is important to do these boxes in order as collectively they will form a picture. Also the log book is only in box #5, so it is here you will stamp in. I have been told that the ink's are very runny. I will replace them when I am in the area, but for now bring something to clean up with beacause you will get inky! :)

Box #1: From parking lot take trail to the right. Stay straight on trail and pass under arched tree. Follow trail until you see a bench. Sit on bench and admire the huge beaver lodge. Continue on trail to see how busy the beavers have been. Now turn back the way you came and follow trail until 2 large pines adorn each side of the trail. Take the trail to the left and you will see a cluster of 3 trees. Continue past the trees and find the old stump. Look in the stump. Rehide well please.

Box #2: Go back to main trail and pass through the pines and under arched tree. At fork bear right to boardwalk. Take time to look for a Blue Heron or Mallard hanging around. Pass over boardwalk to the trail. As you walk on the trail, you will cross over 2 small plywood bridges. At the end of the second little bridge walk approx 130 paces, the trail bears left. At this point you will see 2 big pines on the right that sort of share the same base. Take a compass reading of 60 degrees to a downed rotting tree. Search around the back of the tree for box #2. Place stamp on rim.

Box #3: Continue on trail to the next intersection and stop. Look for beautiful group of birch and search where they join. Place stamp in glass.

Box #4: Continue on trail in a northeast direction until you see on the right a tree of 3 with a basketball sized rock at base. Take the trail to the right past a big boulder. Stay straight on trail to the observation platform at the end (the trail is a bit grown in at the end, keep pushing on). Look for Canadian Geese or maybe a brave beaver. Now head back on trail until you see the third large pine on the left that splits in two up high. There is a log resting at its base. Around the back- here you will find box #4. Place stamp next to glass.

Box #5: Go back on trail to the big boulder. Your final prize lies between big rock and baby rock.
