**The old LEGO Letterbox went missing and I have replaced the box in a new location with a new and quite different stamp.**

This is the 5th in a series of kid and adult friendly letterboxes celebrating classic toys.

This letterbox is hidden in the Raymond J. Syrjala Conservation Area on Winslow Gray Road in West Yarmouth. The 3,540 foot trail takes the form of a loop, which passes through a somewhat wet environment. The trail passes by a shallow swamp-like kettle pond formed by the retreating glaciers of the last ice age. Depending on the season you may find Indian pipe, a waxy white plant that looks like a peace pipe and lives off the decaying organic matter in the soil. The predominant vegetation includes red maple, pitch pine, highbush blueberry, and a mixture of white, swamp, and red oak. Woodland ferns, sweet pepperbush, and bearberries are abundant in the open clearings.

Directions to the Raymond J. Syrjala Conservation Area:
From Route 28 in West Yarmouth, turn onto Winslow Gray Road (left if coming from Hyannis or right if from South Yarmouth.) Winslow Gray Road meets Route 28 at the set of lights at Molly’s Restaurant.

Caution: There are deer ticks all over Cape Cod. Wear appropriate clothing (long sleeves and pants) and use bug spray. Hunting is allowed in season from the end of November through December 31st. Check for posted dates as the season nears. This area is mucky after torrential rains. Boots or old sneakers would be advisable during murky months (which have been numerous lately.)

Clues for the LEGO II Letterbox:
Stop and park by the shrub growing on a large rock across from the 9th bolder. Follow the paved road to the second path going down on the left with a single handrail before the bubbling brook. Cross two foot bridges and a three-planked pathway. (Don’t miss the frogs who are watching you make your way.) Shortly after the three planks there is a long fallen tree covered with moss on the left. Enter the mossy gate near the middle of the log. A pace or two in, under the trunk to the right, you’ll find a LEGO prize.

Note: The Slinky II Letterbox is hidden further along this same path.
