This box is along historic Route 66 in the Topock area of far western Arizona. From I-40 take exit #1 and drive north on Oatman-Topock Hwy. for about 2.7 miles. Oatman-Topock Hwy. is historic U. S. Highway 66. Park at the large pullout on the right (east) side of the highway a short distance beyond the blue “Adopt a Highway” sign.

Locate the “Trash Pick-Up Site Closed” sign, and from that sign go at about 146 degrees (from mag. north) for about 85 steps to a large Palo Verde Tree (the smaller tree uphill on left). From the southeast side of that tree go at about 134 degrees for about 30 steps to a moderate size Creosote Bush. The box is under its east side under rocks, twigs, and plant debris. Be very alert for snakes, scorpions and other desert critters!

Please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag), and put all of it INSIDE the box. Please screw the lid on very tight. Please rehide the box very well under rocks, twigs, and plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.

I will not be able to check on this box very often; so, please let me know if you find it, or if it needs attention or is missing:
