Update: In great shape 11/30/2005

On the busy corner of Montrose and Allen Parkway, the hustle and bustle of city life churns. People are frenetically rushing from one place to another, worried about appointments and being late. Ironically, for the residents of Magnolia Cemetery lying nearby, time has no meaning at all.

This letterbox celebrates the elusive concept of how time really does fly (particularly when you’re having fun, letterboxing of course).

Directions:
You may enter the cemetery off of Montrose, just north of West Dallas. Gates to the cemetery are open every day from 8 am to 6 pm. For a great tour of this historic cemetery, hunt Tall Texan’s Magnolia letterbox.

Clues:
As you enter the cemetery, turn right. Look for the grave of a police officer killed in the line of duty. A stone tree to the right of the road marks the spot. Find the year he died – and sum the digits. Multiply this with the number of letters in the officer’s last name. This is your magic number.

Now, continue north. There’s a small park through a gate just on the other side of the Wortham mausoleum. Find the Keeper of Time. Head at 1:00 from the Time Keeper your magic number of steps. This should take you to a tree right next the fence. The Time Flies microbox is hidden in the back of this tree, next to the fence, covered with leaves.

Please take the time to rehide well. Then, give us cuckoo clocks a shout and let us know how Time Flies for you.
