CLUES:
Follow these clues to a fun spot for walking, swimming, playing tennis, playing/watching baseball, fishing, throwing horse shoes or having a picnic.

CLUES:
Difficulty: Very easy
Terrain: Drive up then a short walk on flat ground.
Time: Less than 15 minutes after you park.
Distance: Less than 80 yards from car to quest and back again.
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.

In the city of Parkersburg get on 7th street.
From the west side of town (Ohio river side) go east passing traffic lights at Avery, Green, Lynn, East, H.W. 47/50 turn off, Liberty and then get in the left lane. Turn left at the next light onto Park avenue.
From the east side of town (I77 side) go west passing lights at Fairview Ave and then turn right at the next light onto Park Ave.

Continue north on Park Ave. passing the first entrance at 17th street and then turn right into the second entrance to this fun spot. As soon as you turn in, park close by. Go to the walk which circles the lake and start walking clockwise. When you pass the wooden wading bird, on the left, turn left and walk across the walking path to the rustic seating area. Enter this area and keep bearing left to the first plank seating area. Sly Fox is hiding about 7 feet right of the left end of this seating plank, back under the shrubs in a black box. How lucky..... to have a place so close to leisurely stamp the logbooks Once you are done stamping, please replace everything in the box, reseal it securely, verify that the coast is clear, then stuff it back under the shrubs, bottom up. There are several other Letterboxes within 13 miles so I hope you have a good time hunting while in the area. When you return home, please take the time to let me know the condition of the boxes and any comments you might have by "contacting the placer" at the top of this page.
