Coming from Morro Bay, travel North on Highway 1. Exit Cayucos Drive (second Cayucos exit) and turn left towards the ocean. Make a left onto Ash Avenue. Make another left onto E Street.
As soon as you turn left on E Street you will see an old white garage/barn building on your left. To the left of the building is a long dirt road like a back alley. Drive down the road and park near to the 3rd power pole counting from the start of the dirt road.
Walk to the lowest corner of the vacant lot near down near the creek. Find the tallest Eucalyptus tree.
The Dragonfly box is located at the base of the Eucalyptus tree in the corner of the vacant lot.
This area is home to migrating Monarch Butterflies that come sometime before the winter cold and dot the trees with their vibrant color. The huge house across the lot is a popular Beach Rental and our family has rented it for family reunions for many years. We always enjoy the peaceful tranquility of this friendly coastal town and the homey and welcoming atmosphere of this large accomodating home.
