Hiker On The Hill

Time: About 20 min. I did it in 40 min with planting and with two kids. Can easily be done in 20 Min.

To get here take the argone exit to Upriver drive and turn left. Park in the parking area at the Minnehaha rocks.

Stand at the first parking space as you pull in and look toward the John H Shields Park sign. On your right is a paved trail, take it. Standing at the end of the pavement look toward 45 degrees between two pine you will find a trail. Take this trail. Don't venture left or right but stay the course. If you have a BMX that looks fun. Don't go straight but venture around. Go up the steep trail, but don't curve around the mountain of rocks. There are diversions but stay on track. At this crossroads take a trail at 310 degrees or straight ahead. Going up choose the less rocky path. Look for a tree on the right side of the trail that has a piece of metal about 5 feet up that looks like target practice. Go to the left side of the trail and go 13 steps 230 degrees. Stop and turn to 320 degrees go 5 steps. Look for the arched branch down next to a rock. (The branch may no longer be here, but box still is). Make sure to stick it back in really well so non letterboxers don't find. Be careful when poking around in the rocks.
